There are two modes for testing INetAuction:

  • Manual mode: this mode corresponds to a real auction situation, you need to be at least 2 users, one will act as the auctioneer the other(s) will act as bidder(s).
    • Click HERE to enter as the "Auctioneer now!" (password required)
    • Click HERE to enter as a "Bidder now!"
  • Automated mode: this mode is for demo purpose only, it uses a "robot" auctioneer running on our server. In this mode you may only enter as a bidder.
    • Click HERE to enter as a "Bidder " (with automated auctioneer) now!

MANUAL MODE
Auctioneer Applet Bidder Applet
Enter as an Auctioneer and see how easy it is to manage an auction over the Internet.

You'll have the complete control. We mean it!
You'll decide WHEN and HOW a lot gets into the SELLING RING to be SOLD or PASS.
At any time you can ADD, EDIT or REMOVE any lot. You'll decide WHEN a Bidder can Bid or login to the auction.
It would be much more fun if you ask your staff to enter as bidders.

Note: this applet will take at least 60 seconds to load, please be patient.

Before entering the auction you'll have to register. All you'll have to specify in the registration form is a login name and a password of your choice, for this demo you're not required to enter any other information.

After login you'll enter the auction wherever it is at that particular moment. The auctioneer might not be present. In that case you'll have to ask someone to act as the auctioneer. If the auctioneer is present, he can be selling any lot from the first to the last.

Note: this applet will take at least 60 seconds to load, please be patient.

AUTOMATED MODE
Bidder Applet
Before entering the auction you'll have to register. All you'll have to specify in the registration form is a login name and a password of your choice, for this demo you're not required to enter any other information.

After login you'll enter the auction wherever it is at that particular moment: the robot auctioneer could be selling any lot from the first to the last or can be waiting for the next auction to start.

For this demo the auctioneer is a "robot" that applies simple rules to decide whether a lot is SOLD, PASS or if it should continue auctioning it. The rules are: if there are no new bids during a period of 30 seconds the lot is sold to the highest bidder, if there are no offers during that period, the lot is PASSed. Note that for a real auction, you the auctioneer have complete control over these events using the Auctioneer Applet.
This demo auction is continuously going on, when it's finished it restarts again 20 seconds later.
